A Biloxi woman was convicted Tuesday of hoarding cats, and was sentenced to 100 hours of community service.
Dawn Summers, 78, was found guilty of harboring more than six adult animals (over the age of six months), which violates the City of Biloxi ordinance 412.
According to the ordinance, it is unlawful for any person to:
Permit or allow more than six domesticated animals, over the age of six months, in any one yard or open premises of a residence of the owner of such animals or premises at any one time, and such animals shall at all times be leashed or enclosed in a fence and shall not be permitted to run at large in violation of other provisions of this article
